This week we basically did more problems where we kept doing the exact same tedious thing every single time. To add to the annoyance of having to do the same problems over and over again, the problems kept getting less and less convenient, with numbers that made you question your final answer and overall inconvenient functions that had irrational intersections that could have easily been avoided if the functions were set up to intersect at better locations or if the volume of them rotating was previously calculated by the creator to form more simple answers that could be expressed in rational terms of pi. On top of that the functions often needed to be converted into terms of y because that would be useful for use of a different method like we were taught, but this would have been near impossible as you would have to solve compounded quadratic equations only to get multiple variations of the function of x in terms of y and take close to an hour to solve the actual problem, therefore making that more efficient method 100% useless. Then we had two people come and present about their jobs to try and get us to consider them. I found it rather funny that they seemed to think their jobs were the most important thing in the world. "Landscaping without boundaries" is probably the best quote to support this. And the insurance people said their job was "interesting", yet I fail to see how it can be more interesting than quantum mechanics and astrophysics where you literally learn about how the world came into existence and how complex it's function is beyond that which you assume and take for granted in your everyday life.
